A Heart Never Ceasing To Love Us: by Sofia Niekrewicz
Our Lord and Savior loves each and every one of us—the rich and the poor, the just and the unjust, the born and the unborn. Entering into the month of June, we must not forget His never-ending love for us. His Sacred Heart is forever aflame. His Sacred Heart is forever open to us, patiently waiting for our hearts to enter into a sanctified union of love with Him. Are we prepared to bridge the gap between our hearts and His, though? Are we prepared to take part in Jesus’s immense suffering and sorrow?
Christ knows how weak the human heart is. He didn’t just create us—He Himself became human for us. He had a human heart. He experienced firsthand what it’s like to be so frail and lowly. He experienced what it’s like to be so small and vulnerable in the womb. Jesus, at all stages of His life on earth, was just as human as every individual infant that has ever been aborted. Jesus’s Sacred Heart was beating just like each and every one of our hearts. Jesus’s Sacred Heart was beating in the womb. I encourage you to take a moment to think about that. Jesus’s heart, so merciful and loving, began beating in the womb.
Jesus longs for us to devote ourselves entirely to Him. He longs for us to embrace His Sacred Heart. One way to do this is through the Holy Eucharist, which brings us into communion with Christ. Baptism does this as well. All of the sacraments do, honestly. You don’t need to be experiencing a sacrament to join into communion with Christ, though. Take prayer for example. Prayer is a conversation between you and God, and what better way is there to build a strong relationship than to talk with someone one on one?
I encourage you to devote yourself to the Sacred heart of Jesus this month. Embrace His love. Jesus has given Himself entirely to you. There’s nothing else He can do but wait for you to surrender yourself to His mercy. He’s given you His all, so will you give your all to Him as well? Will you accept the never-ending journey of faith to everlasting merciful love in union with Jesus Christ? Jesus’s Sacred Heart is ready whenever you are. His arms are open wide, patiently waiting for your embrace. God knows your heart, and He desires for you to know His Sacred Heart too.
Prayers:
Sacred Heart Prayer
O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore You, I love You, and with a lively sorrow for my sins, I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to Your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in You and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, Your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.
Pro-Life Quotes:
"America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts–a child–as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters" And, in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign." –Mother Teresa
"Before I formed you I the womb, I knew you." – Jeremiah 1:5
You are called to stand up for life! To respect and defend the mystery of life, always and everywhere, including the lives of unborn babies, giving real help and encouragement to mothers in difficult situations. You are called to work and pray against abortion." –St. Pope John Paul II
News:
Florida Abortion Facility Shut Down After Suspended License
After years of efforts by local members of the pro-life movement, a Pensacola abortion facility called American Family Planning has officially had their license suspended via orders of the Agency of Health Care Administration (AHCA). The abortion facility was ordered to halt operations as of May 21, 2022. After lengthy efforts and hard work, this win for the pro-life movement must be credited to pro-life organizations such as Reprotection, Emerald Coast Coalition for Life, 40 Days for Life and other local pro-life leaders who focused on bringing this facility’s dark history into the light in order to shut them down. This is a particularly important achievement because this facility was unfortunately being utilized by vulnerable women who were traveling in from different states. Due to its location, the facility was used by women from Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana. The facility was well-known for endangering women’s health through medical deficiencies. Since 2018, there have been more than 60 pages of medical deficiencies reported. In the last three months, three different hospitalizations have also been brought to light. In all three cases, the abortion facility failed to keep vital signs of the patient and report the hospitalization. According to the order by the ACHA, the abortionist admitted that they were unfamiliar with the facility’s policies and procedures. The order also noted that, “women receiving abortions must receive the level of care and services mandated by law,” and this facility was clearly not upholding such laws. That’s why the state determined that the facility was an immediate threat to the health and safety of its clients—amen to that! For now, the facility is to remain closed until a hearing date (which is yet to be announced), and the pro-life movement is celebrating this victory.
