Day Ten - Ember Days
Ember days connect prayer and fasting with priestly and religious vocations in a wonderful way that perhaps should be more widely noted. By observing the ember days, we can bring back a practice that has been part of the Church’s history for centuries.
Day Nine - Pro-Life Apologetics (Part 2)
If the unborn are both alive and human, doesn't it follow that they have intrinsic value and a right to life? Why then, would abortion - which ends the life of one of these humans - be acceptable?
Day Eight - Pro-Life Apologetics (Part 1)
When arguing the pro-life cause, it can be so easy to get sidetracked, stuck, or even angry with those on the other side. However, by learning and memorizing several important strategies, we can effectively guide others toward our position through a loving and logical approach.
Day Seven - Penance
This Lent, as you practice your prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, it’s paramount that you remember that it’s not only for self-mortification, but for the souls of others as well.
Day Six - The Corporal Works of Mercy
The Corporal Works of Mercy are a reminder to treat each person as if they were Jesus. This can be realized in a number of ways, but most importantly through praying and speaking the truth with love.
Day Four - Movies & the Pro-Life Message
The pro-life message can be – and should be – shared through every means, by using our unique and individual gifts to communicate the message of life with others.
Day Three - Sacrifice
All of your pain and suffering does not go unseen by the person who loves you most. It will all be worth it in the end.
Day Two - Choose Life
It can be so easy to become complacent and comfortable with life, forgetting that we are truly fighting in a war. And each person holds their own destiny in their hands.
Day One - Ash Wednesday
The ashes remind us of our mortality and reflect our need to repent and return to God, so that when our time comes to die, we are prepared to enter into Eternal Life.
