Our Call to Abiding Mercy: by Sofia Niekrewicz
Our God has an abundance of everlasting love for you. You were formed in the womb by His hands, and He has a plan for you like no other. No one else could ever live out what God has in store for you. His intent is for you and only you. Your time on earth is only the beginning of your everlasting story.
Now imagine that you left this earth before truly having a chance to consciously live. That is what has happened to millions of babies in the womb. Now imagine knowing that your biological mother chose to abort you merely because she didn’t want you and thought you weren’t worth it. That would hurt, right? It would do more than just hurt. That kind of pain cannot be described.
Does all of this mean that the child cannot forgive his or her mother? Of course not! We’re all called to forgive as Jesus does. We’re all called to be an instrument of His divine mercy. If Jesus, all knowing of every sin everyone has ever committed and ever will commit, can forgive us, then we can forgive others.
Our God is merciful. An aborted child is just as loved by God as the greatest saint is. Being aborted or being the mother doesn’t lower your rank in God’s love and mercy. Jesus still gave His life for them, and He’d do it all over again. There is still hope for these children. They’re still living out their story in heaven, praying for the wellbeing of us here on earth and that we may one day join them in union with Our Heavenly Father.
Prayers:
Prayer to be Merciful to Others
O Most Holy Trinity, as many times as I breathe, as many times as my heart beats, as many times as my blood pulsates through my body, so many thousand times do I want to glorify your mercy.
I want to be completely transformed into your mercy and to be your living reflection, O Lord. May the greatest of all divine attributes, that of your unfathomable mercy, pass through my heart and soul to my neighbor.
Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances, but look for what is beautiful in my neighbors’ souls and come to their rescue.
Help me, that my ears may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbors’ needs and not be indifferent to their pains and moanings.
Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful, so that I should never speak negatively of my neighbor, but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for all.
Help me, O Lord, that my hands may be merciful and filled with good deeds, so that I may do only good to my neighbors and take upon myself the more difficult and toilsome tasks.
Help me, that my feet may be merciful, so that I may hurry to assist my neighbor, overcoming my own fatigue and weariness. My true rest is in the service of my neighbor.
Help me, O Lord, that my heart may be merciful so that I myself may feel all the sufferings of my neighbor. I will refuse my heart to no one. I will be sincere even with those who, I know, will abuse my kindness. And I will lock myself up in the most merciful heart of Jesus. I will bear my own suffering in silence. May your mercy, O Lord, rest upon me.
You, yourself, command me to exercise the three degrees of mercy. The first: the act of mercy, of whatever kind. The second: the word of mercy—if I cannot carry out a work of mercy, I will assist by my words. The third: prayer—if I cannot show mercy by deeds or words, I can always do so by prayer. My prayer reaches out even there where I cannot reach out physically.
O my Jesus, transform me into yourself, for you can do all things.
Amen.

Pro-Life Quotes:
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." – Psalm 139: 13-16
"No human being...is ever conceived outside God's will or ever conceived apart from God's image. Life is a gift from God created in His own image." – John F. MacArthur
I am concerned about every beat of your heart. Every stirring of your love is reflected in My Heart. I thirst for your love. – Jesus to St. Faustina (Diary, 1542)
News:
Pregnancy Resource Centers Outnumber Planned Parenthood 14-To-1
According to the Charlotte Lozier, Federally Qualified Health Centers and pregnancy resource centers outnumber Planned Parenthood 14-to-one. While there are more than 5,300 Federally Qualified Health Centers and another 2,700 pregnancy centers, there are only 585 Planned Parenthood locations in the United States. Of those, most Planned Parenthood facilities are located in urban areas and are increasingly designed as high-volume abortion mega-clinics. For low-income women in rural or underserved communities, health and pregnancy centers offer significantly more access to healthcare.
Exciting New Polling From SBA
Contrary to the pro-abortion mainstream media, the SBA polling reported at Axios found that the majority of American voters (by double-digit margins) actually support “a heartbeat limit, a pain-capable limit, or a similarly protective gestational limit” when considering abortion policy. In contrast, the poll also found that only 10% of voters actually favored the current agenda of the pro-abortion Democratic party which supports abortion at any time and for any reason. These notable findings are supported by many other polls, including several done by SFLA’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement. In a 2022 poll, we found that three out of four of Millennials and Gen Z want limits on abortion with more than four in ten actually favoring either no abortion at all or abortion limited to cases of rape, incest, or life of the mother. This poll also found that the universal sound of life — the heartbeat — is an almost undeniable proof of life as a more than half (52%) of Millennials and Gen Z indicated that they believed abortion should be banned entirely (except in cases of rape, incest, and life of the mother) after a heartbeat is discovered. Clearly, a heartbeat detected must be protected.
